Samir Alabdullah is an academic researcher at the Harmoon Center for Contemporary Studies. He was awarded a Master’s degree in 2012 and a PhD degree in Modern and Contemporary History from Ain Shams University in 2015. Dr. Alabdullah has had a fellowship from the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom since 2021. From 2019 until 2021, he worked as an expert on Syrian affairs at the Middle East Studies Center (ORSAM) in Ankara, as well as a lecturer on contemporary history studies at Necmettin Erbakan University in Konya from 2017 until 2019. Dr. Alabdullah is interested in the political and social history of the Middle East, particularly in Syria. He has published in peer-reviewed scientific journals in Arabic and English, in addition to numerous press articles in Arabic and Turkish, and has appeared on many TV shows.
