After the guns were silenced, the hope that Bashar al-Assad promised, which he made to improve livelihood conditions, even in areas of his control, which has moved into a market of corruption and Captagon, evaporated, hence the opposition forces raised their activities, and the demands arrived the utmost, starting of opposing the livelihoods situations, to a clear call of the regime’s departure.
It is an uprising that was not unsurprised; while Sweida has its own peculiarity and history, it was able to a large extent to keep itself at a distance from aligning with the regime.
